The name Dumuldari means that this bridge is located on the confluence of two (in Korean, "du") flows (in Korean, "mul") and sat on a position of joining points for tributaries of Cheongyecheon. The bridge's shape also expresses those meanings. This is the "children's bridge" as designated by UNICEF.
